Some of you may know, but Claire (the owner of SI&M and my mother) and her husband, Don (my dad) are off in Italy! No, I don't know how I got left behind and yes, I am extremely jealous!! Whenever they travel I always have them send me a few photos so I can see some of it too! Well, I thought that I would also share them with all of you! We can all live vicariously through them!!! They will only be there for about a week, so they are trying to hit most of the highlights... their first stop was Rome!! This, obviously, is the Colosseum! I am not an expert on Italy since I have never studied up on it, but I will try to paraphrase some of the things they have told me... which really hasn't been much! Enjoy!
This is Claire tossing a coin into Trevi Fountain... I think it is supposed to mean that someday you will return!
These pictures were taken at Pompeii and in the background you can see Mt. Versuvius, which is the volcano that erupted and destroyed Pompeii 2000 years ago. Pretty awesome, huh?!?
