JUST A CUTE LITTLE SOMETHING!

I had some friends that decided that when I gave them some pictures that I had taken, that I needed to "do something" to them!! I thought that was pretty funny! So, this is the "something" that I did! What do you think? Will they like it? I thought so... because I absolutely loved how it turned out! These are those little Paper Loft Accordion Pockets! There are several with different patterns and color schemes! They can be used as a page embellishment or a mini album (as shown)!! I hope you all enjoy my little project! Have a great day!! Ok, ok... I know it has been a while since I gave a little hint to anything for the Retreat! We have been very busy with preparations... that is a huge hint that it will be GREAT!!! Here is a little project I have been working on for the retreat! Just a little peek!!! ;)

A NEW ADDITION!

Yeah!! Our new website is up and going! There are a few pics & logos not working right now and a few adjustments need to be made! But... check it out anyway! Just please excuse the stuff still under construction! ;)

DIVA DEMO DAY!

Yes! We have another diva coming this Saturday to help get you inspired! Erin will be at the store from 11am - 1pm demonstrating some ideas using foam stamps! I can't wait to see some of the great things she is going to show all of us! I have been in the need of a little inspiration and I know she is the right person for the job! See you all then!

TONS OF TECHNIQUE TUESDAY!

Yeah!! More Technique Tuesday is finally here!! These clear stamps are so wonderful!! We have gotten in some of the new things and some of the great classics! So stock up while you can! Two of the new ones are called "Swiss Dots" & "Spin Cycle"! Too cute!

JUST A REMINDER!

I haven't blogged very much this week... sorry! Things are kinda crazy! I just wanted to remind everyone that Sweet Retreat is only two weeks away, but you only have until April 26th to still sign up! Friday, May 4th we will open at 8am and close at 8pm for all of you Sweet Retreaters and anyone else! To help celebrate National Scrapbook Day, which is Sat. May 5th, for every $10 you spend at the store on Friday 4th & Saturday 5th, you will have your name entered into a drawing for NSD!! It will be a great prize... I promise! Remember... only 2 weeks!!

DIVA DEMO DAY!!

Jamie will be our diva this weekend... Saturday 21st @ 11:00am - 1:00pm! She will be demonstrating the long awaited Quickutz flower die set and the overlaying stamps that go with them! She is a QK pro so if you have any additional questions about any of the QK tools, now is the time to ask!!

EXCITING NEWS!!

As most of you know, our current website is not user friendly and it does not contain much information... well all that is about to change!!! We have been working on a new design for our website for some time and it is almost there!! This should be a great new info source for the store! And yes there will be a link to the blog, a calender and much much more!!! I will let you know as soon as it is up, we will let you know!! You all should refresh your memory of the soon to be "old" website so that you can do the proper ooohs and ahhhs for the "new" one! We are very excited!

The new Bazzill is here and yes that does include the new BLING!!! Yeah! It is awesome. It has just come in to the store, so come check it out. If it is anything like last time the new Bling won't last long, so go ahead and stock up! We have also gotten some of Bazzill's other new products: new salloped edged 12x12 & 6x12 papers! They are very neat, I can't wait to play! I don't want to miss out, so you know I'll be getting some of each! :)

SWEET RETREAT CONTESTS!

For all of you coming to the Sweet Retreat, we have a little information for you! We will be having a couple of contests during that weekend. First, a double page spread contest! Second, a mini album contest! You have about a month to work on these projects... so get going if you are interested. If you plan on entering either or both of these contests, you must have them ready to turn in when you sign in on Friday! If you have any questions, you can always give us a call at the store! You guys should be expecting an email soon with a tentative itinerary and a little more info! We are very excited and believe it or not, Sweet Retreat is less than a month away!! :)

MORE NEW PRODUCT!

We got this in yesterday too, but I didn't want to send everyone into over load! These are the new lines from The Paper Loft... oh so cute! There is a "boy" line with lots of primary colors and then there is a "girl" line with lots of pastels! These are great classics to add to anybody's collection!

INTRO PLUS CLASS

Donna's Intro Plus classes are back by popular demand!! This is the double page layout you will be creating. The techniques include combining patterned papers, button embellishments & stamping!! The class will be Saturday, April 14 @ 10:00 - 12:00. The cost is $20. Bring all your tools (trimmer, scissors, adhesive...), but everything else (paper, embellishments) will be included! NEW SWEETWATER!!

Yeah! I absolutely love this company! Three of their new lines are in and they are so cute I can't stand it. For those of you who are not familiar with this company, here is a little info: this is a small company run by a mother and two daughters (who are so cute!) They have been around for just a couple of years and are definitely up and coming. They put out a very unique and top quality product , which is what I like! OK, so for the new stuff... we have "All About Me", "Squeeze" and "Family Ties". With these new paper lines, there are tons of oh so cute embellishments like... jars of chipboard blossoms and tiny tags, journaling cards (huge trend right now!), mini "sardine" cans full of journaling tabs, rub-ons and chipboard letters. There are so many pics I would like to show you, but I guess that would ruin the surprise. I hope that you all get to know this company and love just as much as I do, because it is one of my absolute favorites!! Oh... I forgot to tell you about one of my favorite products from them! TRY SOMETHING NEW!

Ok, so Chere came to the store yesterday to do her Diva Demo Day... if you didn't know, she gave ideas and answered questions on how to use transparencies. This got me thinking about how much I love the look and the technique of sheers, but I don't incorporate this huge trend into my layouts as much as I would like! So, I would like to present ya'll with a challenge... try something new with transparencies. The scrapbooking industry has a lot to offer right now in the way of sheers... 12x12 printed transparencies, MME clear embellishments and frames and so much more. Among all of these products we also have small packs of printable transparencies. You usually have to buy these in bulk and they can be very expensive when purchased that way, but now you can buy them a few at a time from SI&M. There are alot of ideas out there for using sheers, so take advantage of them and see if you can use a transparency on your next layout... I will too!! Bring them in and show us your ideas... we like the inspiration too!
